It is with a heavy heart that I’m letting this one go, but I have a grail incoming and the EZM3 just isn’t getting the wrist time she used to.
I think I added this one to my stable back in 2014 and for the first few years she was the cornerstone of my collection.
This 500m beauty is a study on how to make a compact “wearable” diver and she sits beautifully on my 6.9” wrist.
I love the way the lugs angle down away from the case…she hugs the wrist perfectly.
The bead blasted case does an excellent job of deflecting the everyday slings and arrows of office life and has not been abused and is in overall excellent condition. I love the way the light plays off the bead blasted satin finish and different case angles…this thing offers loads of visual watch nerd satisfaction.
I find the h-link bracelet to be exceptionally comfortable and that’s how she’s been worn for 90% of my ownership time.
The matte black dial with white hands are infinitely legible and there is anti-reflective coating on both the inside and outside of the sapphire crystal.
The crystal itself is perfect but there are what I would call “micro-abrasions” on the external anti-reflective coating. This is only noticeable in bright sunlight and at a very specific angle…unless you’re looking for it it’s not something that detracts from the everyday enjoyment of the watch.
The crown is easy to grip and the watch is functioning perfectly. The copper-sulphate capsule is still a light shade of blue indicating it still has plenty of life left and she has been running at around -12 SPD which has been pretty consistent during my entire period of ownership.
She comes with the full kit:
-Box
-Instruction manual
-Original warranty card
-Bracelet tool
-3 extra bracelet links
(Bracelet is sized for my 6.9” wrist)
Please examine the photos for condition and let me know if you’d like any more.
I’m asking $1400 obo.
Shipping is at cost and I will basically ship anywhere.
From the manufacturer:
- Low pressure resistant
The diving watch EZM 3 is a mechanical watch made for the toughest diving jobs. This is because you can always rely on classical mechanics anywhere where a watch with a quartz movement could pose a risk due to electronic interference or failure of the internal power supply. This is especially true when these mechanics are protected by sophisticated Sinn technology.
Filling the case with a protective gas ensures optimum start conditions for our Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. The integrated drying capsule also absorbs the inevitable humidity which diffuses into the watch. The combination of carefully selected material dimensions and qualities together with perfect workmanship and complex sealing measures — such as double O-rings on the screwable crown — permits the approved use of the diving watch EZM 3 for a diving depth of 500 meters, corresponding to a pressure of 50 bar. This is an extreme performance value for which Magnetic Field Protection is crucial: an additional, solid soft iron sheath around the movement protects the accuracy of the watch up to magnetic field influences amounting to 100mT (=80,000 A/m).
