Sir Wallace finished out the week wearing a light tan color leather strap. We just stayed around the house and did not go anywhere. Still, Sir Wallace was a great companion. Will be experiencing a few strap changes for the coming days. Stay tuned.

What strap is that Joe?
That is a generic strap from an eBay seller that I bought a few years ago. I don't remember who the seller was. I'm sure it was around $20 or less as I won't spend more than that for a strap. I have several just like it so I must have bought them from the same seller. Do a search on eBay for leather watch straps and many many many will come up. The possibilities for inexpensive quality leather straps are endless.

The sir Wallace is wearing another tan color leather strap. It is a generic strap bought off the bay from a seller I can't remember, but it is one of my favorite straps. It looks very similar to the last strap it was sporting, but it is very different; i.e., thicker and much heavier white stitching. Still, it looks great on the Sir Wallace.
p.s., Did not go anywhere. Stayed home which is what I do most of the time anyway (the way I like it.)

Today I tried the orange silicone strap. It goes real well with Sir Wallace. A great Fall/Halloween combination. I did not go anywhere but did take a few out door photos with Sir Wallace. We did rest on the railing, checked out the plant bed, got blurred out while focusing on the large mountain directly across from our cabin, remembered last Halloween when we decorated the cabin, and walked down to the mailbox to pick up the mail. I am finding, like most black dials, that the Sir Wallace goes with just about any strap the wearer chooses. Your imagination is your only limitation. Stay tuned.

It was a nice sunny day here in east Tennessee, though a little on the cool side. So, I fitted Sir Wallace with a nice dark brown leather strap and we headed out to run some errands. The first stop was to the dumpster to throw away some trash. Notice the heavy duty thick steel plate dumpster. The dumpsters have to be made this way to keep them bear proof. The bears will destroy a plastic or other type of flimsy dumpster. We then proceeded to the local pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions. From there it was the Chinese restaurant for some carry out. Filled the tank with gas. Then it was a visit to the plant nursery to check out some fruit trees. Sir Wallace made this encapsulating trip with ease. The brown strap works really well I believe. Stay tuned.

Tried a bright blue Barton fabric strap on Sir Wallace today. To me, for some reason, I don't think it works. Some folks might like it, but I just don't care for this combo. So far, I have found that black and brown straps are the way to go with this Timex. Will try another strap tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Still at home. Will not venture out for a few more days. Tried a new Barton tan suede leather strap on the Sir Wallace. I think this strap works quite well. The tan color matches the dial indices and I think this strap really works. BTW, I think Barton straps are great; i.e., durable, attractive, supple, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Stay tuned.

At home again with Sir Wallace. Today he is wearing a Speidel textured leather strap and i think this on works very well. BTW, Speidel makes some very nice leather strap for really good prices. We all know of the quality and longevity of the Twist-O-Flex bracelet; check out their straps.

Sir Wallace today is wearing my custom made baseball glove leather strap. I think it looks pretty good with this strap, but the strap does generally do better with a vintage watch. About the strap: My Dad bought the glove for me 58 years ago when I was 12 years old. It was a Luis Aparicio model made by Wilson. Luis was one of my boyhood heroes.

Wore the Sir Wallace to Maryville today (18 miles away) to take Anna for her doctor's appointments. Of course the Timex made the trip just fine. Today it is sporting a dark brown leather strap from Kvarnjo of Sweden. I understand that these straps are made from fallow deer hide. It is a tough durable strap and goes quite well on the black dial Timex. Stay tuned.

Today Sir Wallace is wearing a tan color embossed leather croc strap. I am not a fan of embossed straps, but I think this one works quite well, mainly for its' color. Just a few more days with Sir Wallace then it is off to the next TSC participant.

This photo session ends my time with Sir Wallace. He will now be boxed up and sent to the next participant. Today Sir Wallace is wearing a Timex soft leather gray Nato type strap. I am not a fan of Nato straps, but this one is so thin and supple that it wears really nice and does not feel cumbersome. It has been a pleasant few weeks spent with the Sir Wallace. It is a very substantial, rugged and nice looking watch. Farewell Sir Wallace. Will see you in your future photo sessions.

I put on a modern brain of rice bracelet the end links fit correctly but they don’t fit the case height. Still good experiment to see with something filling the gap.

That and I went to the pack with te Kidd and dog.

Ps. Hand looks weird I think because in the position all blood rushes down.
