Hi, I bought this Siro pocket watch recently, it doesn't work so I didn't pay a huge amount for it. I've been trying to identify it but I've not been able to find anything useful. I heard that Siro was a trading name of Oris but that's all I've found so far.

From the scale on the Tachometer (starting at 240 mph) I'm guessing that it might have originally been an aviators watch but that might be more wishful thinking than anything else.

Can anyone on here help me with this? It'd be nice to know how old it is and its value.

Thanks,

Thanks Chris, at least now I know that it is actually Oris. From what I've read I think it's from the 40s but I think I'll have to ask Oris that.

God knows how much it'll cost to get it running again, but it'll be nicer than my Casio to use in the air.
