So I just got an skx173 from Amazon and I've noticed the bezel is relatively easy to turn in comparison to my skx007. Put another way there's just not much resistance when turning it.

Is this just a quirk of the 173? Or a QC issue?

Pop off the the bezel and bend the little spring tabs up a touch, should fix your issue!

It doesn't bother me, just curious if that was a characteristic of the 173 vs 007/009.

I have not noticed any difference in bezel tension on my Seikos as well.

Maybe you just got a loose one?

This has actually been the case with mine - the SKX173 being looser than the SKX007 and 009's I have had, though my one and only SKX173 is from 2005 and the others were later. The spring tabs are the likely culprit as mentioned above however it is not an issue to me in any way so I have not adjusted them.
