Possibly the strangest request for a smartwatch ever but...

Scenario: listening to music on my bluetooth headset with my (android) phone in my pocket. An album is over and I have to take the phone out, navigate to the app, load a new album, etc

Is there a smartwatch that will let me do that?

Bonus points if it's a smartband instead of a smartwatch!

Most Smart watches will allow this, depending what phone you are using and what your preferred music player app is will determine the level of functionality.
Many Smart bands may have a proprietary music player or controller for apps as well.

To help provide the most appropriate solution it would be good to know:

1. What phone and OS are you using?
(EDIT - just reread and saw you are using Android, so Apple isn't an option but OS version and proprietary manufacturer features might)
2. How do you store your music library? I.e. locally stored mp3 files, cloud files, streaming player such as Spotify, Account such Google Play etc.
3. Do you have a preferred music player?

The answers to these questions will narrow and limit your device choices.

1) Xiaomi Mi Max 3. 6.9'' is too big to pick up every time I want to change music :D
2) I store my mp3 in the phone itself
3) I currently use VLC but I'm versatile, as long as the headphones pause/forward/back buttons still work!

Almost any of them do it. Even basic Casio BT (non smart) can do it.
Every Samsung 100% do it.
As long as you aren't tied to a specific app or streaming service, this is correct. (Other than Apple which isn't compatible with an Android phone.)

So I guess to narrow it down...

a) can any smartband do it?
a1) bonus points for a smartband with possible interchangeable bracelets :)
b) what is the cheapest model that can do it?
