SNJ025 Arnie vs the new SNJ033 "Arnie"?

So I haven't been an "Arnie" fan within the Seikos, I'll be honest I like automatics and don't own anything but. However I was at my local Seiko watch shop and I saw the SNJ033.

What an absolutely outstanding look it had on my wrist!

That brings me to coming home and looking into this watch, which quickly directed me towards the "Arnie". Now I had known about these, just never looked into them. Well now I have to have one, 2, or all of them.

So I'm coming here asking you guys where should I start? I do believe I will have to have the SNJ025, SNJ033....And you can't stop there, so I was also thinking of the H558. (which would be more of a 'collector' and worn on special outings)

Which order should I buy them in? SNJ033 would get the most wrist time by far.

025, H558, then if you feel the need 033.

SNJ025. All of the OG aesthetic but with updated tech and materials, more intuitive features, and I'm sure much longer service intervals.

I bought the 1990's H601-5480 "upside down" Arnie when they came out and I got tired of having the battery and WR factory-serviced every few years. The shroud suddenly warped about a decade later after wearing it in the summer sun for less than thirty minutes. It was bizarre.

I own a few H558s (well gave one to son #1) and had the 025 (got stolen). If you want a more functional watch, get the 025. The lume works, the digital time is much clearer to view, the light works a lot better than the H558 and the solar feature is pretty cool. If you like the cool, vintage vibe, go with the H558. If I could only have one, I would choose the H558, but then again, I'm more of a vintage watch buyer.

One thing to keep in mind though is that parts for the H558 are not as easy to come by as they are for the 025. =)

Definitely the 025. Its one of the best reissues alongside the 777 turtle. Despite upping the case sizes they still exude that quintessential seiko vibe from that time period.

the 025 has become one of my favorites to wear. it was inexpensive and is fun to wear.

I also have a 1986 H558 in excellent condition but its too valuable (for me) to wear every day.
