Not bad prices for Vostoks, especially these days. But can you beat this:

I got these for less than a dollar each about a year ago, although I did have to do some work on each to bring them up to scratch.

Vostok 2409 and 2209

And some ZIMs, each less than a dollar

And more recently, this Vostok Great Patriotic War Commemorative 1945-1975 was less than 10.

Nice 2209, I have one in similar (but worse) condition, I think I paid around $30-40 for it.

Best deal? I got this brand new in box with warranty for $150 about 2 years ago:

Not bad considering they usually go for +$300 new and usually ~$200 used.

Picked up this Vostok 2403, CA late 1980s, with green dial for £11 ($16) from a seller in Turkey. It runs very fast and needs regulating, but winds beautifully and feels as if it's going to be a very good runner once I've had it regulated. I might have a go at that myself, or maybe I'll just send it off for a £12 service anyway and let Mr Ellis do it as part of the service. Either way - a particularly good pickup for the price of a large Pizza with 2 extra toppings, I think...

Michele's example from his collection...

A low price is relative of course but I've gotten my share of what I consider good deals on ebay (part of the fun) and also a number that went the other way. This one always comes to mind, though, when I think of good deals. A classic 29 jewel automatic Poljot from the early '70s, my favorite time period for Poljots, that required a little polish and a band and voila! Has always kept excellent time from day one.
Bought from a private individual in NC 114 miles from Raleigh.

There’s a jeweller in Porthmadog Wales, Dafydd Ellis. I understand he worked for Sekonda as a watch repair man for around 40 years. He now runs a very old fashioned watch repair shop, and charges extremely reasonable prices. A full service and lube costs me between £12-£18 depending on the job. His work is top notch. I highly recommend him. His details are here on this link: https://plus.google.com/114216762479594245995/about?gl=uk&hl=en
