I used to collect watches, both wristwatches and antique pocket watches, and still have quite a collection. I have decided to sell four of my antique pocket watches here.

All are currently in excellent running condition. All four have been running continuously for a week and all have been keeping good time for an antique pocket watch: from plus/minus 30 seconds to plus/minus 60 seconds per 24 hours. Even so, these are antique timepieces, and I will not guarantee their accuracy. All are one-hundred percent complete, with no missing parts.

Due the age of these watches, I am selling them all as-is, and am not promising anything. However, they are currently running well.

I have attached photos, but they are unfortunately not in the order of my description. However, you should be able to match photos to watch by the serial numbers. Think of it as a watch jigsaw puzzle :).

Elgin National Watch Company

This has been in my watch box for a few years. I wound it up yesterday, and it has been running smoothly for 24 hours, keeping good time. The crystal is scratched and there are scratches on the case, commensurate with its age. In my opinion, it still looks pretty good.

I’ve had this one for years, and it’s been running great for 24 hours, and keeping good time. The face has a few marks, but this watch has very few scratches or marks for its age. This is a very elegant pocket watch, in my opinion.

This is the oldest and largest one. It, too, has also been running great for 24 hours, and is keeping good time. The crystal is scratched, but there are not many scratches on the rest of the watch, considering its age. The crystal and back screw off and back on smoothly.

Elgin National Watch Company

This one is in nice condition for its age, also running well for 24 hours, and keeping good time. It has very few scratches for its age. For some reason, I cannot find this serial number in any of the Elgin watch sites. I may be reading the serial number wrong. The edges and front are embellished, and it reflects the light brilliantly. This is a pretty “fancy” watch.

I have described the watches to the best of my ability, but I am not a watchmaker and definitely not a watch expert.

Please refer to the photos, which are good representations of condition, and which should be relied upon for an accurate representation of physical condition.

All of these watches were running great after about ten days of continuous, accurate operation.
