Sold! Vintage Boxed Girard Perregaux Valjoux 72 Chronograph 3 Registers Compax Layout 1960s
On sale is a beautiful GP chronograph from the 1960s comes with the original red GP leather box!
As you can see from the pictures, the watch is in excellent original condition. The original dial is in stunning condition! Those hands change colours between blue and black depending on the angle of view - amazing!
The watch is accurate to the minute over a 24-hour period, and the chronograph start/stop and reset functions are working correctly, though the watch has not been serviced recently. You can see the chronograph function in the video. As you can see from the movement pic (provided by the watchmaker), the inside is clean. Also see the interior magnetic shield for extra protection. The dial, case and the movement are GP-signed. The stainless steel case is in great condition, with the dial measuring 35.5mm without crown and 42mm from lug to lug.
The Valjoux 72 chronograph movement is a legendary movement that is used by the like of not only GP, but also the Rolex Daytona.
It's one of my favourite watches, but I need to fund something else, so it's a sad parting for me
