Hello WUS,
Yes, this is one of the original divers from the late 60s, which the current line was inspired from. This watch was purchased earlier this month from a well-known collector who has an amazing collection of vintage steel sport watches on bracelet (@bristnj_jeff and his post before selling it to me http://instagr.am/p/CGPvW70nRh6/ ).
Dimensions (measured via digital caliper):
Condition:
Not only this is a rare model to come up for sale, it is also in a very nice condition despite it being over 50 years old. The glossy black dial has all luminescent painted markers are nicely aged into custard-like, and they still glow in the dark (but not strong enough to be captured via lens). The bidirectional friction bezel turns well with decent resistance, and the insert shows evenly aged look, with a noticeable nick at around 55min marker. The original case and crown are in great condition without any noticeable deep scratches, and its period-correct rivetted bracelet (not Oris signed) is evenly aged without any noticeable deep scratches and fits my 6.5in (or 16.5cm) wrist, with three additional micro adjustment holes available, which is measured as additional 3.15in (or 8mm), therefore can accommodate wrist size up to 6.81in (or 173mm).
Most importantly, the manual winding 654KIF was fully serviced before the purchase and at the same minute in the past 2 weeks of being wound daily. The crown winds butter-smoothly, and sets time and date well.
The acrylic crystal has minor hairline scratches as expected, but I can polish it prior to sending it out to the buyer.
What's included: Watch head and bracelet only. I can also include a vintage-style leather strap that came with Damasko DS30 with original buckle for an additional $40.
Reason of selling: I am saving up for another purchase to consolidate my collection at the end of the year.
