[Mark Gordon]

The Rodina was the Soviet Union's first automatic wristwatch. It was produced at the First Moscow Watch Factory from 1956 through the early 1960s. Depending on who you are talking to, the 22-jewel movement is designated 2415A or yH-9M (41yH)

Over about 15 years a huge quantity of these watches were produced, including export versions, with several different dial designs. Eventually this movement was replaced by sleeker calibers such as the 29-jewel 2415 and 29-jewel 2416.

I had long heard rumors that a solid gold version of the Rodina had been made in extrememly small quantities, but I had never actually seen one... That is until a good friend located one for me in Belarus. I can tell you from personal experience that it is much rarer than the solid gold Pobeda and Zvesdas from about the same time.

Hello,

I have Rodina watch. I tried to find any information about such model, but unsuccessfully. Even I wrote email to manufacture - no reply. IIn my opinion that model has limited edition and was released on Jurij Gagarin occasion.
I also have passport and case.
Made data: 1960-10-29
Gold 19,5g

Would be interesting to hear something about that model not only who and when made.
