I was checking the band and bezel of my AWR-M100A

as I removed the bezel, I felt something falling into my palm

It was a spring

I was quite surprised because I wasn't planning to do anything with the interior of the watch and I didn't expect there could be a spring in the bezel....

Anyone knows where this spring might come from??

I have never seen this model naked. So I do not know where to fit this piece. Can you please post pictures of the watch with the bezel removed and also a picture on the inside of the bezel. Perhaps then we can figure it out...

My only guess so far is that it has some sort of shock absorbing function...

EDIT: I guess we now have solved the mystery, it is supposed to fit in a hole underneath the metal bezel ring, supposedly this spring is there to absorb static electricity from the plastic bezel.

If the bezel is metal it'll be to equalise potential to other parts of the watch , i.e. for static protection.

Commonly used in consumer electronics

yes it fits in a little hole underneath the metal ring

when i put it back in place I had to compress it a bit so that it makes firm contact with the ring

I wonder why it would have popped out in the first place

To protect against static electricity building up - I think every G-Shock with a metal top has that spring - I saw it on my G-7800.
