The collection has evolved a bit more since the past few SOTCs. I feel it is in a good state, if not slightly bloated. There are a few that I would not miss. One more in the mail (Seiko Grand Quartz), one inheritance on deck (Rolex President), and maybe a vintage Seiko 6306-7001 Turtle will crawl in next month. Ordered from highest to lowest (subjective) market value. Most everything is named in my signature.

That's a lovely and varied collection - and not often that you see 2 tonneau (and fairly different ones at that) in the same collection.

And when did you get the Parmigiani? I seem to have missed that. I've tried that out in a store and it's lovely - have been trying to find the black meteorite dial version to try on, but no store seems to have it in stock. Was very tempted by this one as well...

I did have a question though. Looking at the first and the second post, there is some overlap stylistically. How do you decide upon which watch gets wrist time when? Do you have specific use cases or do you just wear whatever you feel like at the moment?

Snuck the Parmigiani in last month; have wanted a fancy gold piece and kept kicking myself for hesitating on a Moser and a Breguet before, so jumped on this one.

As to which I wear, depends on my tasks for the day and the requisite attire. My routine is not very regular, so some days I can even start with what watch I want to wear and then progress from there. I'll admit that some get neglected and some are in "protected" status. I feel lazy if I wear quartz too often.

Very nice collection, indeed. What's your overall impression of Piaget (the brand in general and your piece, in particular)? I'm trying to determine how I feel about the Polo S.

Thanks to all for your nice words. Nobody has recommended a Sub-C or Speedy, either!

Hard to say with a sample of one, but I really like my Upstream. The Polo S is a nice piece; I fondled one at the AD last year. Bigger than you think, but very well executed. If it could be had for ~$6k on bracelet, then a great buy in comparison to a Rolex DJ41, GO Seventies, or GP Laureto. I think the Piaget Altiplano is one of the nicest dress watches available, albeit on the high end for diameter.
