Any "authorized Omega repair center" can easily replace the Hesalite as it's an easy replacement for about $150-$200. I wouldn't go AM since they look a bit different than OEM. Google should produce repair center results local to you.

 

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, because the only thing I can find is this Official OMEGA® Stores in United States | OMEGA US® Which tells me that there are only 4 authorized Omega service centers in the USA...

 

Where are you located? Here in Southern California, I know of two independent watch repairers who are authorized Omega service centers.

 

Ok so the link I provided is clearly for the major service centers... Where did you find a list for the authorized indy centers? For the record, I'm in Norcal.

 

Why are you looking for a replacement? Is the glass broken or just scratched?

If broken, be careful the movement isn't damaged.

If scratched you can just use Poly Watch to repair.

 

I don't yet have the watch in my hands, but from the pictures there are several extremely deep gouges. Deep enough where they may be full cracks. The seller I bought it from confirmed they just polished the crystal (and unfortunately the case), and this was the best they could get it. Movement seems to be OK, but probably in need of service (watch showing +/- 8s/day depending on position on a timegrapher). The price I paid was commensurate for the heavily used condition.

 

If the crystal is cracked then moisture, dust, water and even plastic pieces from the damage can be in the movement. Instead of worrying about replacing the crystal, you should be worried about the movement due to the crystal damage. You have no idea what you are in for. I would not buy something like this ever

 

I would take it to an authorized repair center so you get one with the logo in the center of the crystal, makes a dif in value. Have whoever does the work to check it out and see if it needs a service. Also make sure they install it with the logo positioned correctly.

For those of you who have provided useful information, thank you. I am still looking for a list of "authorized repair centers" if anyone can chime in. Otherwise, a known source for the crystal.

 

Basically, any watchmaker with an Omega parts account could be classed as "Omega authorized" because of the stringent rules that Omega impose on them before being allowed to have the account.
Any one of them can obtain and fit a new crystal for you.

 

Just thought I'd give an update - Watch came and cosmetically it was in much better condition than described. I've seen watches with larger crystal inclusions described as unworn.

Unfortunately the hour counter for the chronograph doesn't reset so back it goes (dealer sounded genuinely surprised by this). Says he may be able to source me another 3572.50. Stay tuned.
