Caliber 321 was the original pre-moon movement. It was replaced by the cal.861 and then finally the 1861 or 1863 depending on whether you get the hesalite or sapphire sandwich model. Moon-watch history, the ultra-abridged version. Cheers
Yes it is a put together movement, the dial is refinished, the second hand marker is from an earlierr model, and i think that in 1968 how the case says it should have a .861 not a.321. The part of the bridge that is replaced is the one wich has the serial number engaved so to me thats more than enough to be a deal breaker or a $500 dll watch
I'm kind of amazed that such a poor condition Speedmaster of questionable provenience hit $2700 (though I understand that the 1039 bracelet and dot-over-90 bezel probably have much to do with that), but I'm even more amazed that make the reserve price.
