I know it's just me, but I am not a big fan of straps on the Speedy, but having said that I should really give them a fair go. So, it easy enough to get the bracelet off to experiment with a few straps? What tools are recommended? I don't want to ake a pig's ear of it.

I do like NATO straps and I am wondering how one of these might look? :thanks

Really, you just ned a springbar tool and some patience. My preference is the Bergeon 6111. I'd recommend that you cover the tape with lugs to help protect from scratches.

There are a lot of strap options in this thread in the Images subforum.

Good luck!

Speedy kicks a$$ with NATO strap. Very "tool".

I saw my local AD removing the strap (spring bars) just with extremely small swiss-knife just about 3seconds. You just need something to pull back the springbar spring and ease the bar away from the hole.

I use a very small screwdriver (1 mm), works fine for me, taping the lugs as Eptaz mentioned might help you to overcome your intial fear for scratches. After some training you won't need that anymore.
