Spent entire day at Vasquez Rocks (high desert) in blazing sun & Rangeman still at medium power...

That doesn't seem right at all. Any ideas.

Yes - here's an idea.

Check Rangeman manual, instructions E-13 and E-14. http://support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/009/qw3410.pdf

Manual states that it can take approx. 16 hours to go from Level 2 (Medium) to Level 1 (High) -- IN outdoor sunlight. Your watch was probably at the bottom-end of the "Medium" scale, so it will take longer to get to High.

Go out there for another day and you should be fine. ;-)

Wow. Copy a morning's hike around Vasques Rocks. It's insanely awesome out there; otherworldly (Star Trek was shot out there in the 60s).

Needs more time in the Sun.
I had that puppy laid out in a truck bed facing the sun for a couple of hours at one point. The thermometer was reading 124 degrees in direct sunlight at 10am.

ummm,,,thats why i picked the pictures,,,,refer to your thread about missing the boat,,,lol

I meant that exact rock formation. We were down and to the left this afternoon. It was also the exact spot for the diner scene in "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back" about 17 years ago; a lifetime.

That's quite a collection of production stills from that location. Nicely done.

I am a movie junkie. I don't watch much regular TV except for the news, BBC America and the 3 Hong Kong channels from PBS. Movie channels, disc or tape, or Netflix.

Or playing video games.

When I'm in between gigs I try to get in as many as possible. It's not unusual for me to go to the cinema three or four times in a week. I've loved movies since I was a kid.

I hate theater's. To many rude people. I like persons but not people. Crowds bring out the lowest common denominator and that becomes the behavior of the group. I've seen to much of the bad side of society, and prefer my heavily armed home theater. I can pause and not miss anything and popcorn doesn't require a small loan....LOL

I'm extremely fortunate in that I can usually find screenings of whatever movies I'm interested in that have few people in the audience. I rarely go to a theater that doesn't have reserved seating so when buying tickets online I am able to see how many tickets have been sold and choose the times and seats accordingly. There are also a plethora of excellent movie houses in the Los Angeles area. It's not rare for me to be the only person on a large auditorium. More often than not there's less than 30 people dispersed throughout the theater.

hehehehehe I like that line.

I came here to read of anything new with the OP's Rangeman - maybe there isn't anything new, I don't feel like reading 2 pages of posts to find out. ;-)
