I recently purchased an Omega Seamaster 2220.80 on a steel bracelet (1503/825). Because it is getting warmer outside I am considering putting it on a NATO Strap. It seems easy to take the bracelet off, but I would like to purchase spare spring bars in case something happens while taking the bracelet off. Otto Frei (Genuine Omega Spring Bars) has some 20mm spring bars, OME-SPRING-BAR-03 and OME-SPRING-BAR-04. Are these the correct spring bars? Is there a difference between the spring bars for the bracelet versus a strap? Can one use the bracelet spring bars on a strap?

This is from another forum member:

"OME-SPRING-BAR-04 is the correct bar to be used with the Bracelet.OME-SPRING-BAR-03 is the correct bar to be used with a strap.

The 04 bar is 20mm in length and therefore the only bar that will work with the bracelet. The 03 bar is 21mm in length and is therefore more secure between the lugs on the Speedy which is better for straps. The 03 bar will not work with the bracelet since that extra mm would make it impossible (or nearly so) to get the end link in place while compressing the bar."
