I have read that the Seiko Spring Drive movement has to be hand-wound.......and I really find that hard to believe. Does anyone know whether that's true?

May I wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year prosperous enough to justify buying lots of interesting new quartz watches!

The first ones were indeed hand wind. Also, Happy New Year to you and yours as well! |>

Thank you both! First ones hand-wind, later ones automatic wind.
So far, even the Springdrive GS appears to be 15 seconds a year. I'm glad it's no better because Seiya has the listed at almost five grand!
