I’m a ardent supporter of shoulderless springbars on drilled lugs watches.
my recent purchase of a very nice MK II Cruxible Hellion shows the difference in 1.8 vs 2.

0 diameter shoulderless springbars as well as the traditional flanged type. Bottom line they keep your valued watch on your wrist when using a pass through strap.
