I have a question about my Steinhart Marine Officer chronograph...

It runs on a Swiss ETA 2824-2 mechanical automatic movement with module from Dubois Dépraz DD 2030. I can't wind it using the crown. When I turn the non-screw-down crown in the locked position, the friction you'd expect to feel when winding the mainspring is absent. Like a Seiko SKX007, I need to do the "shuffle" to spin the rotor to get it going. Is there a problem with the watch? Or is this just a normal quirk with this movement?

I LOVE the watch, btw.

Thx.
