There's the Seiko Diver 4205-0156 and 0152, then there are the more recent and well known SKX 013 and 023.

I would just like to know the difference between the 4205's and the SKX's.

The 4205's seem to be cheaper and in my opinion looks as nice, but then is it wiser to get a brand new item? Also which of the two would gain/retain value the best over the years? Is there any difference in quality? Also keeping in mind that I'm not currently hugely interested in modding my watch (if that changes anything). I'm quite confused why the 4205's are so unpopular compared to the SKX's.

Any info at all would be great!

About to get one of these and just making sure I'm making the best decision.

Thanks looking forward to some replies :)

no the SKX's i believe are still being made. I'm aware of the size that's why I'm going for those specific models, I just wanted to know if it was best to go for the more recent or older model

4205-0156:
32 hr power reserve
150 meters
37mm x 13 thick

SKX013:
43 hr power reserve
200 meters
38mm x 12mm thick

They also have different dials. The
