Hey guys,

While patiently waiting for my blue 20mm isofrane to come in, I thought I would give this combo a try. This is an OEM Omega strap, manufactured specifically for the Plannet Ocean.

here is is on Mr Sumo..

The fit isn't perfect and as you can see still leaves a gap due to the Sumo's long lugs. When the watch is on the wrist it's barely noticeable. You won't be able to use the fat seiko spring bars because they won't fit.
Overall, I have to say it's an improvement from my blue Nato, and worlds better than the stock Seiko bracelet!

It looks very good to me. The Omega, however, is just about breathtaking. That was going to be my first watch, but I 'settled' for the Sumo. Forgive my ignorance, but is the PO second stock or after-market? I've not seen that before.

Anyway, it's a very substantial looking strap and I think it works well on the Sumo, for sure. I'm shortening my Sumo lugs by what looks to be exactly the amount of the gap you show there...but am waiting for carbide drills to come in. Case seemed soft until I tried drilling with high-speed steel...I don't think it's so soft now.

I'm tagging that Seamaster photo of yours...clearly, the adrenaline doesn't lie: that's The One.

Thanks Mr. Bongo. I'm not sure what you mean by "second stock" I bought my Po new From an AD. It came on the bracelet and then I later purchased the OEM rubber strap.
As you can see here it looks like a totally different watch on the bracelet.

The PO is an amazing watch and you won't be disappointed.

I did a typo...question I meant to ask was: is the second hand (on the SM) stock (as it came from the dealer) or a modification? I've just not seen that second hand before. Not that I've seen even 1% of the Seamaster variants out there.

Okay, got it. I was experiencing an optical delusion...the first photo looks like it's got a yellow tail and I thought that was really steppin' out for an Omega, but I like it actually.

Your PO is gorgeous. Would love to slap a PO strap on my Sumo, but I imagine it's expensive.

Hey Mate,,

I love the look. Its funny you have done that as I was playing with my SKX 007 the other day trial fitting my Omega rubber strap. (Unfortnately my strap is a 20mm and the Seiko is a 22mm otherwise I would have done the same.)

BTW. The PO looks awesome.

Cheers

Thanks guys,

While I really liked the way that combo looked, it wasn't as comfortable as it feels on the PO.
For now I'm giving up on my sumo until the isofrane arrives. If I don't like that combo then on the FS forum Mr Sumo goes..
