I have owned the Black version for over 2 yrs. It fits great on the wrist and the thickness is just perfect. The details in this watch i.e markers and logo are great. Still look at it like I have just bought it. I own the speedy and always wonder which one I would sell if I had to, but I never can make my mind up. And you know what people think of the speedy on here, so to me that says a lot. It also looks great on other straps so congrats and post your pics.

P.s I had a stoppage issue with the 2500 movement but was sorted out and working well. Yours will be the 2500d if bought new so should be great.

Mine is still on layaway. It should be until June. I am now reaching the point in the lay away process where it is very hard not to just pay the balance and wear it home every time I make a (visit) payment.

Sellers picture of my watch.

I got mine used 8 months ago of a WUS forum. It runs great! Accurate as all get out. It's travelled with me since I've gotten it. Here is a photo I snapped today.
Gorgeous! How accurate is it running specifically? According to the seller, after he got it servicred at nesbitt's it is currently running at less that +1 second a day.

Thanks! Looking over my logs going back to 11-21 it seems to be running +\- 1.5 per day. Looking back further to june It seems to be -1.5\+2.5 per day. The watch seems pretty immune to positional variance... I can't make it speed up or slow down by how I lay it down at night. If a jog wearing it .. That will make it gain time though.

I can believe a freshly serviced 2500c can run less the a second per day. Mine was made in 2007 and sold in 2009, and has yet to be serviced and still manages less then a second per day some times.

Also Nesbits has a good reputation around here so I'm sure they did a food job regulating it.

whats the finish on your guys clasps like? Mine came polished and then brushed along the sides where the deployant buttons are. Did all your guys come with brushed clasps or what? ive seen photos of both aswell so im not sure? or do some just come that way and some do not?

well it depends if it was brand new or not when you bought it. you can email Omega customer service and they will tell you everything you could possibly want to know about your watch that way.

your best bet is to email Omega with your serial number and they will tell you what movement is inside it. I am sorry but i dont know much about serial number production dates.
I went back today and told tourneau that i was upset that I had a year old serial # for a brand new purchase. They brought out the SMP's they had in stock and I exchanged for serial number 8536xxxx... Great cusrt service....

now I have a 2500D

For the love of....

Why would you be upset?

From the date of production to the time a watch makes it into a jewellers window - we're not talking a couple of weeks.

If you purchased a watch in 2011 it is more than normal for it to have a serial dating the production of the movement to 2010. From assembling the movement to testing it to COSC specs, to fitting it into a case, to putting it through Quality control, to putting into into the distribution channel for a specific country, to shipping it to a specific AD... it takes time! The serial number you will have had does not mean it sat in a jewellers window for over year - frankly given the popularity of the auto Bonds they don't sit in windows going unsold.

I'm glad you have a D variant of the 2500 if that makes you happy but the worst part of this story is that had the AD refused to exchange (when they certainly shouldn't have had too) you be no doubt saying it was bad customer service.
