So, this morning I was reading the thread that CitizenM posted about some of the new Citizen Signature automatic watches, their new movements and designs, really just a great thread. As always, his posts contain just a wealth of information, along with some tempting pics. Turns out some of the photos were from Joe at AZ Finetime (forum sponsor) and so, in a fit of "WTH" I headed up to their shop, just a few hours ago.

Saw the new Citizens, and they are stunning. I mean, truly, just gorgeous watches. I am tempted to say "for the money", but the fact is, that they are beautiful regardless of price. As in all of Citizen's better offerings, the AR and crystal are impeccable. Not only is the dial stunning, but it SHINES under the loupe (I highly recommend each and every one of you get a loupe if you don't have one already, an indispensable watch accessory IMO...) Blued hands are clean and crisp, and the lume is outstanding, that wicked cool blue lume that Citizen seems to own.

The movement is extremely well decorated, the rotor is particularly stunning. Pics really don't do this piece justice. Bracelet is clean and well fitted, though I do not care all that much for the clasp.

But seriously, this watch is something else. It will rise right to the top, I believe, in many of the "Best watch under $1500" threads. I, for one, will be certain to mention it. 28,800 BPH runs smoothly as expected, and turning the crown to wind it is silky smooth. Again, wish you could all see this watch in person.

BTW, Joe at AZ Finetime was wearing his Grand Seiko "Snowflake"... Talk about a stunner. While a considerable distance apart, the new Citizen is definitely somewhat reminiscent is style and general feel, IMO... Anyway, here's the pics, enjoy! Also, CitizenM, will send you an invoice ;-) !

Congrats Dan, great watch and way to support our sponsors:)
That CitizenM kid is an enabler of the highest order with his insightful threads and posts, his tempting photography and reviews. How much fiscal damage will that guy inflict upon the wus membership?

Will be sure to grab a lume shot if I can figure out how to disable the flash on my phone.

CitizenM is probably trying to get a hold of himself, hence why his late reply. The craftmanship of Citizen is always impressive, especialy at this price. Grats on a fine watch sir.

Great minds think alike! I also ordered a silver one from Arizona Fine Time. I'm glad you posted those pictures, because, right now, I only have a FedEx tracking number to look at.

Wow, what a great looking watch and great pics. Can't wait to hear how it performs, hopefully it's consistent with all the other great reports I've heard about its accuracy...the worst I've heard so far was +5/day (and that's before the possible wear-in period), which is still really good.

I think I'm going to be able to check this one out personally next week, since the local Citizen dealer ordered one at my request (for me to look at). Unbeknownst to either of us, however, a GS was about to arrive taking whatever little money remained lol, so I don't think I'll be picking it up any time soon, but I'll give some of my impressions on it.

[email protected] is a great guy and I've had several long conversations with him about watches and he clearly knows what he's talking about and cares about watches (I don't know if he'd remember me since I don't like, answer the phone as CitizenM lol), so if others are thinking about picking up a Citizen Signature, he'd be the one to talk to.

As per the invoice, you're going to have to get in line with Omega and Seiko lol, so it could be awhile before my debt to WIS society is paid off.

Amazing looking Citizen. That other Citizen guy does good too; he has led me to seriously fall in love with a certain Orient Star.

Enjoy in good health.

Maybe you mean Conjurer? That guy is the king of reviews, particularly Orients. He's a much better writer than I am (and a much, much better photographer).

Speaking of Orient... Joe mentioned bringing in their high end pieces. I assumed he meant the Orient Star line, but no. He said the Orient Royal line; I am not in the least bit familiar, anyone know of these?
