Nice collection, Mediaokra. I like how it's varied in brands, types, complications and roles. It's not every day one sees a speedmaster right next to an accutron (even if it's just the UHF quartz version). The moonphase is also intriguing, at its design reminds of A. Lange & Sohne, but has kanji writing on it. Kudos as well for the 2021 stability ! 👍SOTC 2022

No change from 2021. I thought I might finish at least one of the projects from last year, but, nope.
My watch goals / timeline has changed a little. My daughter's practicum has been delayed so she won't complete her master's until next December. This means my grandfather's Omega Bumpy lives with me and I wait a year to look at something like a Tissot Banana in earnest.
If I happened upon a sub $250 Yema reverse panda Rallygraf, I'd try to sell the Tissot Quickster.

). Jokes aside, with an high and low end diver, a smartwatch and a digital beater, you've got a large arsenal of watch functions and roles to play with. And compliments for your discipline. 
They're very smart at Seizenn, they make you purchase your watches the year before so can't bash them afterwards.
Jokes aside, if the watch is already purchased and being worn, what's the point of bashing it ? I'm not a fan of the hours bezel, since I typically use divers bezels for applications that last less or around an hour. However, it provides the watch a quite plain aesthetic, which is enforced by the not oversized lume indexes, and the clarity of the hands. So aesthetically, it has an undeniable appeal. Do wear it in good health as they say !

Indeed, we can completely disagree and yet feel like each side's opinion is equally respectable. We're used to that on WPAC. But that implies considering it, and wording it as such.
You deliberately avoided the core message of my previous post to avoid wording that disagreement. Yet, what I think of this isn't in the end ultimately relevant to the issue at hand. And by doing so, I realized it signaled that, at the moment you did compose your answer, you had in fact already decided for that Rolex Explorer.
It's good you discussed it with your wife.
Those who incited you to seize the occasion were also right to highlight this isn't an every day opportunity. And this was one of the watches (if feel grail lose its meaning when used as a plural) you long lusted for.
Now only time will tell if it was the right choice or not. Do enjoy your Explorer in the meantime.

I think that's the ideal objective of most watch collectors : get more with less, in a way. That's more easily said than done, though.
Hello again. Haven't been active much lately and I guess that's a sign of abstinence...sort of.
It's been a miserable year mostly with my mother passing away, COVID and stuff. Been around WPAC since year one and it helped immensely put the madness on hold. Can't say I'll be participating much but we'll see.

That's the active collection and the bottom drawer are keepsakes that don't get worn, including my first watch age 3(?) and second watch age 8(?).
Regarding the main show, most have been around awhile now since I've settled down. The Sporte came in late last year and was considering flipping it but it looks like a perfect summertime watch, so I counted it in till I make up my mind. The funky orange little thing needs some restoration and I should get around to do that eventually. I included it cause I dig the dial color and the box had an empty spot so why not.
There's a couple watches that are listed for sale so I haven't included them and a couple more incoming that will be traded away as well. I've done trading for profit heavily in the past, not so much now since postal services were a nightmare. Hope this year turns out better all around.
