My watch-a-holic boss at work has just got a Tudor black bay pro, the gmt 39mm version, and was proudly showing it to me this morning, lovely looking watch but blimey it's thick. The horrible slab sides of the black bay have made a return on what was the svelte 39mm case.....

Wonder how many of the big name watches are the real deal vs Chinese homages.. if the real deal, that is some serious monetary value right there indeed 😳
Call me cynical but I immediately assumed there were many fakes in there. You don’t cram APs and PPs etc on the edge of a wooden shelve. Also: IKEA cabinet, plastered walls, bad phone pic quality? Doesn’t sound like someone that owns a Tiffany Patek or RM to me…
The surroundings are always the giveaway.

But maybe I’m wrong 🤷‍♂️ Either way, Evad could use some purchasing restraint.

Is it an excuse to buy more watches if I tell myself my work requires me to keep a variety of watches for rotation?
I'm with JMario here. What job could possibly "require" one to keep a variety of watches? Perhaps in the fashion industry? I wore the same Seiko quartz moon phase watch every day for twenty-five years at my job with a Fortune 10 company. I was never reprimanded for not having multiple watches. Nobody cared.

Worst case scenario, you might need a grand total of five or six watches to have enough variety in that category.

Tudor used the same MT5652 movement in the Pro as in the standard 41mm BBGMT, hence the same thick height dimensions. It is the most significant drawback of the watch.

That was what I was assuming too lol, but don't shut a book by its cover ;) Maybe he just didn't have money left for a fancy bathroom and watchbox and photography equipment after spending it all on watches 🤷‍♂️

I'm sorry, guys. In spite of your bashing I got this one. Sold a watch last month, so one out, one in, but still. In my vow I intended to buy one watch this year, but I bought two and sold one.

However, I like this very much. The craftsmanship is well above the price point. Love to have the features and solar/atomic convenience of a G-Shock in a beautiful, authentic dive watch package. Swapped the factory strap to a Borealis dive strap and now wears even more comfortably.

I don't expect a reaction, but had to come clean.

Was this the 48mm dinner plate? Have to admit it doesn't look bad, just hope you can pull that off...

Source please. My guess is that it is from some German crime movie about that creepy dude as head of some cult.
Actually, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Although I only ever watched a couple of episodes. I don't go in for shows where the point is that every character is a terrible person.

WPAC team, I caved.
I bought a Parchie Pal for my daughter with the intent to gift it to her for Christmas. You know, plant the seeds of another watch obsessed fool in the family.
So, can I stay in the club for 2022? I still haven't bought myself a watch and plan to keep it that way for at least nine weeks and 4 days...
