Beautiful, man. How open is your wife to the theoretical concept of bigamy?

Sweet!
I think it is for the same reason that your Sub doesn't have a conning tower and torpedo tubes. How come the Moonwatch doesn't have a Moon phase?
That you know of...I think it is for the same reason that your Sub doesn't have a conning tower and torpedo tubes.![]()
..., and let this be a lesson to us all. On that fateful Christmas Eve, while most of Marquette's innocent citizens were snug in their beds, a horrifying truth was revealed. The Ore Dock was nothing of the sort! In fact, it was the secret submarine pen lair of Captain @Hotblack Desiato ! Lake Superior's maritime economy would never be the same again...That you know of...
Love a graph and some analysis....... 👍😁End of year stats.

Yes! (...even if the 80/20 Pareto Principle is merely a statistical artifact.)That's the 80/20 rule again.![]()
Seiko seem to have taken a leaf out of Omega's moonwatch playbook; e.g. slap a new dial on and call it yet another limited edition. Only Seiko like calling it a "save the Ocean". Usually the "save the ocean" versions don't look better than the standard versions, this one is no exception. That dial will blind you in daylight with the reflections.....It’s not even 2023 yet. I am vowing to cut my watch spending and flipping down this year. It’s just too expensive. That said this beauty is calling my name:

Help me out please.
You can post that in the New Seikos thread and get plenty of people triggered by its 6R movement but if you are asking for a proper WPAC end-of-the-year bash, I'm game...It’s not even 2023 yet. Saw it in the flesh, its very nice but it should probably be called discus burger. Also, Seiko with a 6R? The only one I had running well is now running like ****e after five years of very low intensity use. No way Jose. It’s not even 2023 yet. Still has the same ridiculous date window. I like that the date is oriented upright, I like that it doesn't cut into an index, but it just makes the dial too busy and full. This is one case where the date would have been better off at 3 o'clock. Seiko makes some great textured dials, but textured dials on divers always seemed silly to me. Okay, I know no one uses them to dive anymore. Or even beats them up as sports watches. But still, textured dials on sports watches seem like lipstick on a pig to me. Keep the texture on dress watches that need something like that to stand out. Neo-retro models have become so prevalent as to be bland and boring to me anymore. The watch industry could not say any clearer that they have run out of design ideas. The Prospex logo is another unnecessary touch. In another decade Seiko might well be competing with Rolex for sheer dial text. The image with the watch on the strap (and to be fair, that is a pretty nice strap) just makes the whole thing look grey and dull. It’s not even 2023 yet. I agree on the dubious benefits (or greenwashing....) that these limited editions give. Considering the manufacturing environmental costs I'd be surprised if it actually had any net positive results.Still has the same ridiculous date window. These "benefit" limited editions always make me ask: What exactly is the company doing to benefit (in this case) the ocean? Okay, they have a recycled bottle strap, but what else are they doing? How much money is going to "save the ocean"? What are they doing to "save the ocean"? And, perhaps taking it a step further, how does creating a product like this with all the waste and emissions and probably damaging oceanic shipping actually do anything to help save the ocean? Making things has the side effect of pollution. Guarantee you parts of this watch were shipped over the ocean, which is still a very dirty process.
You mean 80%, like me?Oh look, quantified evidence of how much time I've wasted!![]()
...and slap a price premium on it for good measure. USD200 over the base model doesn't seem like much but for that crumpled-paper-looking dial it's... well... questionable value.Seiko seem to have taken a leaf out of Omega's moonwatch playbook; e.g. slap a new dial on and call it yet another limited edition. ....on top of that the side profile isn't exactly elegant is it.
Go back to WPAC 101. Look at your collection and try and appreciate what you have.
