I am sure it will be a single led in the lower left corner. I see they removed the artificial horizon from the AE-2000

Not likely. Here's another pic from the net. They never have a red/orange color for AE2000 or AE1000 before. This color matches some of the variations of G-shocks. Someone needs to have very creative photoshop skills and knowledge of Casio watches to do that. Or it's a real watch, and Casio just not in a hurry to update their websites yet for a cheap watch like that. The module number in the picture below matches the one for AE1000. Meaning that they didn't update the module at all, just merely re-cased it and likely still have the same amber LED.

If it's only a small-scale production and if Casio doesn't even list in on their website, there will be no way (for anyone) to know whether it is authentic or not.

Okay, but I'm still not sure what to think. I really like the "flight control panel" look of the AE2000. But I will definitely check it out if I come across any.

i am at the threshold to buy AE-2000WD-1AV and AE-2100WD-1AV. i could not deceide yet. i did not found the differane between those two models. What is the differance except looks?

I have never know any digital Casio to perform badly. Casio makes a solid watch. Now that being said, some of us who have had many Casio's are not a fan of the single amber led in the bottom corner. That puts an uneven, hard to read, glow over the entire watch face. But keep in mind it's a low price point watch. I never followed up on this watch since I have the AE-1200 with the dual led lights. If this 2100 has the dual then the light source would be sufficient.


I just checked some images and it does appear to have the single led in the bottom left. That was the reason I sold off my AE-2000 that I had for some time. Other than the single led, the watch appears to be well built. Well, at least my old AE-2000 was.

The lighting is not as uniform with the AE-2100 as with the AE-1200. Also in the AE-2000 is a only one light-emitting diode.

The AE-2000 and the AE-2100 differ in the design.

The digits of the AE-2000 are a little bigger, but the analog clock is slightly smaller than the AE-2100.

just received the ae 2100 today, the orange one

have to say I am impressed by the quality of the watch, and great looks

only problem is that the strap really is long for me... longer than any gshock I have, which surprised me. well the thing is that I will have to cut the end which I dont like doing

but the watch for only 29 euros is a great deal

Does Casio still make the AE2100? I OWN THE AE1000 and would like to get the AE2100 in both the stainless steel band and the resin band. Where can I find this model?
