BSHT Part 34.

With this post I am launching BSHT Part 34. But at this point I would be remiss if I didn't say something about what happened in BSHT Part 33.

It's been nearly 10 years since James (Fullers1845) unintentionally created what would become the Brotherhood of Submariner Homages when he launched the Best Submariner Homage Thread in the summer of 2009. During the intervening years the BSHT has grown up and matured. And in BSHT Part 33 we displayed the very best of what this community really stands for; we came together to help a Brother in need.

In fact, many in the watch community here in the F71 Affordables section of WUS, as well as the broader watch communities on Instagram, and thanks to Chris (Docvail), even an extended group among the microbrand watch companies, joined together in support of Brother Jason (Justadad) as he and his wife (Justamom) strive to adopt their foster daughter Ellie and give her a forever home. The way this community came together in support of this cause has gone a long way in restoring my faith in humanity. Well done Brothers. Well done.

Those of you who have been around for a while understand that we are way more than just about watches. Sure, our shared interest in dive watches is what brought this diverse group of people together; but the community that has developed in this place is what keeps us coming back.

For those of you who have just discovered this place, welcome. Please stick around for a bit, post some pictures of watches, read, and get to know us. If you are a returning past member, welcome back.

And to all, please remember our one rule to rule them all, and in the Brotherhood bind them: Don't be a dick.

Helping out there Dill family was a no brainier for me. Although I joined not long after the jump to 33, I quickly realized this group was more than watches. Everyone here is family.
I want to thank Doc for adding this watch as a giveaway for those who donated. This is a beautiful watch and I instantly know it will be getting a ton of wrist time!

Edit: Also compliant! Seiko NH35 on the inside

Happy #seikosaturday Brothers.

Since finding BSHT I have gone from being a 'one watch guy' to including my Timex ironman beater and a couple heirlooms from my Grandfather. Now I've bought the SKX while the Seamaster is at the spa. Last night after looking at all SWM's pics I went to the Silver website, saw that they were down to the last 4 Silver Archetype Ones and pulled the trigger there. I've also got my name in for an NTH Barracuda and have picked up a few Natos. The other night at dinner I was regaling my wife on the market forces affecting ETA vs Miyota movements. She seemed to drink a lot more wine that night…

I think I have been assimilated.
