BSHT Part 35.

As you know, many times in the past I have posted memorable quotes from our esteemed members to launch a new thread. In honor of that tradition, I bring you my candidate for the best post in the last thread.

From our very own Firecrow911, came this classic.

"Yup. Here in the BSH thread I check the batteries in the smoke alarms and ensure the exits aren't blocked and that combustibles aren't piled too close to the hotter posts... I've not seen the thread burst into flames yet but apparently that happened in part 13, but I wasn't around and the thread burnt to the ground. The price of safety is eternal vigilance don't ya know. Investigators sealed the part 13 thread as it left the structure too dangerous to re-enter, and witnesses refused to come forward... I'm pretty sure it was an inside job."

Public Service Announcement from the BSH Fire Department:

And now the obligatory fine print, brought to you by our in-house legal counsel, Brother Saturnine.

BSHT Disclaimer of Liability.

By reading and/or posting in this thread, you are implicitly agreeing to the following terms:

"I, the reader, fully understand and acknowledge that there are risks and dangers associated with participation in the BSHT watch exhibitionism and tomfoolery which could result in nausea, profuse sweating, severe dizziness, wrist rashes, wrist hair removal, wrist voyeurism, falling over backwards, intoxicated ebay purchases, changes in sexual ability, difficulty urinating, widened pupils, vision changes (such as seeing rainbows or auras around watches), fits of uncontrollable laughter while at work, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, constipation, extreme mood swings, dry mouth, bankruptcy, dismemberment, paralysis and death. There may be other risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. The social and economic losses and/or damages to me, my family and others, which could result from these risks and dangers described above, could be severe..

By reading the posts of the Brotherhood, I fully assume the dangers and risks, and agree to use my best judgment while engaging in forum activities. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasee, including, but not limited to, post author, the author's family and estate, the Brotherhood of Submariner Homages (BSH), its members individually and its officers, agents and volunteers and employees (hereafter, collectively referred to as the "Brominati").

I hereby certify that I am of legal age and competent to execute this Waiver and Assumption of Risk, that in doing so of my own free will and accord, voluntarily and without duress imposed by Lifetrekker, and that I do so intending to bind myself, my executor, my heirs, and Justadad to the fullest extent."

Hey Welcome @TypeSly! You found the Brotherhood as the thread jumped from #34. It will take a little bit for folks to find us. But the official welcome wagon will be along shortly. We like all watches, especially divers, so post something up! And I posted Carolina, the latest group build the brotherhood put together with NTH. It happened before my time here, but I was lucky enough to get one from another brother. There are many custom BSH mods here that you'll see if you stick around. It's a welcoming group, fun, a bit irreverent at times, and ready to help where we can. And you've already seen our one rule.

Made the jump, and at light speed too! The ship was travelling too fast for me to throw a leather strap on. Well that and I was too busy tending to sous vide chicken wings. Note to self: never try and cook during a jump to hyperspace. While the wings came out perfect, myself and some other passengers realized the adverse affects of tequila and warp speed combined. We all made it, but it was close.

I don't even know exactly what a submariner homage is, and if any of my divers qualify, but dang that's a beauty!
Welcome to BSHT! Join us for a while post some pictures and enjoy the camaraderie.

Here is an example of a submariner homage:

It doesn't have to be as beautiful as the Carolina...and on Mondays we post divers on bracelets

Happy #HeavyMetalMonday.
I hope you and everyone else here has a great week

- We have a civic holiday in Canada...so I already know I will have a great week :)

Ahh, the Tisell Vintage Sub was my gateway homage. It one of my favorites. I got one for my son to celebrate his first +$100k sale. I suggested he show it to his boss noting that when he hits $1M a 14060M would be a nice bonus ( so he could loan it to his Dad for safekeeping :)

I don't know. He really needs to talk to the owner, who is back east this time of the year. Long-term future is likely to be better if he gets more skin in the game. The owner snagged him off the production shop floor for technical sales, so there's some promise there for the future. I've really proud of him. I was still screwing up pretty good at his age. I just didn't realize it until later ...
