All,
I just saw Guy 67's new Durowe limited edition watch and I am desperate for more info on it. There is very little info on the various Schauer sites (at least that I can find) and searching here and Google has turned up nothing more.

This is a lovely watch and any info on specs, cost, availability etc... would be hugely appreciated. Also, I am completely unfamiliar with this "French Forum" mentioned in the other thread.

TIA

It was a limited run of 30 watches for a French Forum. It used to be listed on the Stowa website. There was a bunch of different hand options. It was not terribly expensive. Something like 750 euro or so as I recall. There are none remaining and I assume that is why Jorg removed it from the site.

Thanks for the info orangehole!!

Disappointing to here that this is a completed series... the Durowe and the Icarus are the two watches that have most grabbed me since reading these forums. Alas, missed both while they were still in production.

Thanks again!

I saw a couple of the Durowe when I visited Stowa/Schauer earlier this year ... actually I am glad it was an LE, or I would have been sorely tempted.

It's a great watch, Jörg! :)

Hi all !!

Really glad you all liked the watch !!

I got mine today, getting home from work...

As you know if you read the other post, I was particularly concerned about this watch. I can remember exactely the night when I made the first design of it, in front of my TV. When I did it, more than a year ago, the idea was a "classy sports watch"... Hard to define it, uh ? Some other people in the group had started doing examples, but I just didn't want to wear any of them. And since my original job is product design, I decided to give it a try. I made 3 bases, and 1 or 2 other people did so. Designs were submitted to Schauer, who gave his advice and his constraints. We did do a few changes, and based on this, Scahuer submitted a final drawing. A global vote definitely chose my design as the basis. Hard to get a consensus with 30 people, but we made it !

When I got it, I saw mor the first time "in motion" the Ideas I had. Seeing this red section of the seconds hand "fly" over the inner scale was just magic... Really special to see ! I have to admit that when I saw it my eyes got blurry for a second or two...

Now it's on my wrist, after I installed the deployant clasp Jorg gave with it. And believe me, to take the place of my tangomat on my wrist, this watch has to be REALLY powerful...

This watch is MUCH MUCH MUCH more beautiful in flesh than in pictures.

The specs of it are :
- Stowa Marine body (40 mm)
- Durowe 7420 movement
- sapphire front and back
- 3-colour dial
- 2-colour date disc
- Blued hours & minutes hands
- 2-colour seconds hand
- Brown camel-leather strap.

I'm the happiest man on earth tonight... Have good dreams !!
