I know I'm very partial to 7 & 9, maybe due to Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris, who knows. When limited editions come out and you can pick #s, there's enthusiastic response. How much do you pay attention to the production # of your watch and if you have any thoughts on this number thing. What's it about? For me it's one more reason to love the watch, I had a girard perregaux with #79 on it, couldn't make me keep it, but maybe you guys got other experiences about the number thing.

Street address,eh? OK .....;-)

The reason I'm looking for the Seiko Red Monster number 666/1313 is because it works all the way around. I'm not a particularly faith-based person, so the stigma means nothing to me per-se, but what that number group represents makes sense to me with a watch marketed as the Red Devil.

That, plus it'd be really kewl to have .... :-d

When I bought my Yellow Monster, it was partially because of the serial number; 64/300, the year I was born. I felt it was karma. I don't look for a particular number, as a rule, but if a certain number works, and it's on a watch I fancy, then I'll try to source it.

Otherwise, I just buy myself a nice watch, and wear it happily.

Cheers!

I like either the prototype watch for the production run like my binnacle, or the last in the run like my csar which has the last run number on it which is 100.

The only serial number I ever actually made an effort to obtain was for a watch I have currently pre ordered:

OCEAN7 LM-7 Serial No. 7 b-)
