This watch has been out for a bit. I just got mine on the afternoon of Jan 4, 2018. After finding out when it was in the mail, I was hoping that I wouldn't like it because I found a Citizen I want.

I didn't do pictures of the unboxing, but I should have. The presentation box for this is really pretty nice. I may add those later.

My thoughts when I actually saw and obtained it from the box were "holy s--t it's big! There is no possible way that it'll be comfortable."

Boy was I wrong. This is one of the most comfortable watches I have worn. It was made with my wrist in mind. It fits on the top of my wrist perfect. I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist depending on the time of the day.

The case is machined from one solid piece of stainless steel. The case is 43mm without crown, 46mm with. If you choose to wear the protective bumper it is a 46mm case. The crown screws and umscrews insanely smooth. The screw down caseback is nothing fancy. Most of the watch has a brushed finish. The only polished areas are 6 spots on the bezel that does bring to mind some divers. This watch has 200m of wr. The crystal is triple ar coated sapphire. There is never a reflection here unless you catch a direct light source reflected.

The dial is a matte black with very understated astetics and minimal writing. The indicies are applied and lumed, as are the hour and minute hands. Military time is written around the dial in red, and this is brought out by the seconds hand. The date window at 4:30 looks deep, but probably isn't. The lume is the only disappointing part of this watch. It lights up good initially but fades very quickly.

The bracelet is a 2 piece h-link that resembles a tank tread. The clasp is a bit odd for a watch because it is the kind of clasp found on regular jewelry bracelets, but it fastens very securely. It is also exceptionally comfortable. There are a mix of full and half links. There is no micro adjustment.

Long story short folks, this is an exceptional watch for the money, even with the disappointung lume. Yes it is quartz. If it were solar, I could consider going to a 1 watch collection. It's that good.

It's a nice watch with long lasting battery, even if it doesn't help cutting meat in the kitchen, it definitely deserves a place in someone's collection.

Thanks for taking the time to do the write up. The build quality of the watch is impressive to say the least. You really have to handle/see the physical watch to truly get "IT". Victorinox emphasizes the watch's ability to withstand extreme abuse and have no doubt that the INOX can handle just about any situation. Agree that the lume performance is not in keeping with the otherwise outstanding features. I rarely buy conventional battery powered quartz but the INOX is worth making the exception. Although the dimensions of the watch appear to be on the large side, it actually wears smaller, and as you pointed out, quite comfortable.

I debated doing a review of this watch, but I am too busy enjoying it.

I purchased mine used from a seller on this forum. Even though I paid more for it used than I would have paid during the TJMaxx blowout, I am still extremely satisfied and do not feel I overpaid. This is a lot of watch for the price and the money.

It goes right along with my Seiko skx as being a watch that looks better the more it gets beaten up.

I bought 3 of these over the Holidays and sold them to less fortunate members that didn't have access to a TJMaxx. I didn't like any of them well enough to keep one for myself, although I understand the appeal. For a tough grab and go beater I'm not sure you can do any better.

I ran across the Sky High LE and think it looks pretty cool, but might have to find a different strap.

ABTW did a short review.

I fell under the spell of the Victorinox INOX watches at TJ MAxx and even bought a rubber strap version elsewhere. The only thing that I don't like is that apparently the steel they used is very prone to scratching. My black face watch on bracelet already looks like it is a year old because it has scratched much easier than all my other Victorinox watches. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Yes. I've had like 4 or 5 and sold them all. It's really disappointing considering that it's billed as a super tough watch.

I looked at the INOX while at Baselworld 2017 last March and if they had been able to sell me one at the time, probably would have bought it although it's always sensible to look around for pricing. The carbon black watch they have looks a bit odd but I do like the diver's version and the paracord strap that is available on some models.

They are so tough, you'd never need another watch.

So, I've wanted an INOX for a while, but had no intention of buying anything. Was in TJMaxx over the weekend and saw one in the store with their deal. I just couldn't pass it up. Really liking it so far, even though it's a much bigger watch than I normally wear, I don't feel like it looks too big on me. It's about the limit I think I can pull off though. Bracelet is a champ and I went for the less loved green color. I have enough black and blue dial watches.
