Formed in 2017, Farr & Swit is an independent American watch company based in the US midwest. Their new Seaplane Automatic watch is proudly designed and built in the USA.
It comes in a limited edition of 500 pieces and has been designed so you can wear it every day, year after year.
The three enthusiastic watch guys involved in Farr & Swit, Adam Farrand Hodge, Andrew Paetzold, and Zach Switalski, are on a mission to get the "I don't need a watch, I have a phone" brigade to fully immerse themselves in the addictive world of horology. Well, here at Watchuseek they've certainly come to the right place.
The new Seaplane Automatic is, rather like a seaplane itself, both comfortable in the air, with all the lume and visibility of a pilot's watch, and yet is equally at home in the water, with water resistance to 100 meters and a 120 click unidirectional bezel.
Farr & Swit Seaplane Automatic 'Day Trip'
The 42mm watch comes in two colors, Midnight Landing in PVD all black, or the Day Trip in 316L surgical stainless steel.
The dial of both watches cleverly mimics the sight that greets you from the controls of a seaplane as you fly at night, with stars pitched against a black sky above, and the crashing waves below. The hands, like propellers, guide you through the night. There are numerals at 6, 9 and 12 with a date window at 3 o' clock.
SELLITA AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT
The watch is powered by a Sellita SW200-1 movement; considered a real pillar of Swiss watchmaking, the SW200-1 is precise, reliable and robust. It's versatile too thanks to its many versions and small complications. Finished in the USA, it has a 38-hour power reserve. The watch comes on a choice of a sailcloth style strap with blue stitching and deployment clasp, or a Barton® Elite Silicone Diver Strap in black.
Farr & Swit Seaplane Automatic in 'Midnight Landing' and 'Day Trip': US$649 and US$629 respectively
There are some good reasons for deciding on a Farr & Swit Seaplane Automatic; first, you don't have to wait for any Kickstarter campaign to finish and then take forever for the delivery date to roll around. You can just order and get your watch.
Second, the watch is designed by guys who probably care about the details and the performance every bit as much as you do.
25% OFF DISCOUNT CODE
And third, starting at just $629, you're getting Swiss quality with carefully conceived features and knowledgeably curated components for a considerably lower price. Not only that, but Farr & Swit want you to take advantage of a generous special WUS discount code:
Enter "WUS25" which will immediately take 25% off the price of the watch.
The standard warranty period for the watch is 1 year, but if you register with the brand you get a 2-year warranty.
