The Russians in Italy - 20 years after

The russian watches landed in Italy in the 80-ies, like Michele tells in his fine article: https://www.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=372998 :-!

Sometimes, some of those watches come to the surface, from the mountains of useless stuff that populates our houses, cellars and cities.
So I found one of them, today. Having read the fine article by Michele, I knew what I was looking at.
I think that I felt like an archeologist, in front of the re-emergence of an etruscan tomb in the middle of a weed field ;-)

Here is my watch, found in a flea market in Turin. It's used but in good conditions, and with all the equipment: documents, instructions and box b-)

The movement is a 2628-H

The watch is still URSS (the movement is marked SU) and the calendar runs from year 1980 to 2000

Nice.

Do the papers say when the watch was made? With SU on the movement and no CCCP on the dial, it could be a transition period watch.

Such a pristine example~Enjoy it in health, cheers! ;-)

May be. There is no date on the papers, nor the seller's name. Sorry :)
Re: The Russians in Italy - 30 years after

That metallic-grey dial (if my eyes do not make mistakes) is very rare.
I have one like that (without strap/box though), the few ones that i have seen till now are Made in Russia. So it is possibly one of the very last models for the Italian export.

BTW, it's more about 20 years ago, moreover the scanned articles are not mine - they are by permission of Nene.

Thank you, Michele, for the correction too ;-)

Cool :-! good colours
I had a similar Raketa in my collection light blue, now sold, had the same packaging and instructions in Italian, I never open the pump, but mine was 1980 2000
certainly imported into Italy when CCCP was fashionable.

1980, now is like 2008, I think ...

This year 2010 is like 1982, I think... for the little I understand :-d
Thank you, Michele, and the others.

Reading Michele's post I noticed that not only this one... all my big size Raketas have silver grey dial!

This one:

The wind star:

the blue-and-red radio room:

and the 24 hours-in-the-world:

Maybe I'm fond for this dial? :-d:-d:-d

Hi,
It's a realy beautiful watch, and that metallic-grey is very difficult to find.
All these are Raketa landed in Italy in the 80' too. Marked as SU inside.

Nand_o,

Some nice examples there! I wonder about that "radio room" with the red and two blue stripes: is there a particular meaning for them?

In Spanish and Italian languages, USSR was called URSS (Italian: Unione delle Repubbliche Socialiste Sovietiche).

You know, I've learned english language listening to Beatles' song.
They sang "Back in the U.S.S.R." - I still remember ...
So you're right, I should have written USSR! :-d
Nice... but what language is on the first and third watch(1st row from the left)??

Russian (I'm the winner in this race :-d)

Ops - not Russian.

Let me guess - none of existing languages ? :-!

BTW - for sure words "nine" and "ten" have changed their places.
