I’m fairly new to watches and really like the history behind and clean appearance of flieger watches. Been looking at the options between Stowa, Archimede, Steinhart, etc. and would really like to keep the case 11mm or less in height with a 42-45mm size. They seem to be most common in 12mm+. I know hand-wind options help with that and they would be fine.

Looks like Stowa has options in the 9.5-10.5mm range, and I saw this Archimede Pilot XLH from @AustinOX that is 45mm and only 10.5mm. I’d snatch that one up, except I can’t send a PM. Guidance on offerings that are on the thinner side would be highly appreciated.

The Stowa Ikarus is one that is really appealing to my taste, but those seem very hard to find.

Thanks in advance. There is a lot to learn around here.

Stowa Ikarus with hw Sellita is still available at Stowa, 10.20mm, but only 40mm.
Dekla Flieger 42mm is 11,2mm in height. dekla Flieger 44mm is 11,3mm.
Laco Ulm 42,5mm with ETA 6498 is 10,7mm.
Archimede Pilot 45 has a height of 10,5.

Steinhart is Swiss made.

Agree with Mike's Stowa Ikarus suggestion. I have one and it wears very well on my smaller wrist.
