This will be the third year Watchuseek will be bringing you live reports from the Dubai Watch Week.  We expect this year the event to be much larger and terms of brand participation, activities, and attendance.

Dubai Watch Week will bring together more than 40 renowned watchmakers, industry icons and collectors that will share their expertise, knowledge and insights on some of the most debated and trending topics related to horology. Among the speakers will be owner of Bovet, Pascal Raffy, legendary watchmaker Kurt Klaus, Dior’s President of Timepieces Laurence Nicolas, Francois-Paul Journe, Founder of F.P Journe, and seasoned timepiece collector, Claude Sfeir.

“This year’s Horology forum will host a series of panel discussions designed to celebrate the way in which classical craftsmanship is married with contemporary techniques and aesthetics, some of the many topics that will be covered include; watch collecting and what it takes to be acknowledged as a watch collector, the role of auction houses, why grand complications are targeted specifically to men, a look into new technologies and their impact on watchmaking, how millennial watchmakers are reshaping the art of timekeeping and a journey into the history of iconic vintage watches,” said Melika Yazdjerdi, Director of Dubai Watch Week.

Some of the watch brands participating this year are A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, Bulgari, Chopard, Dior, Hublot, Richard Mille, IWC, MB&F and Vacheron Constantin.  They will showcase both existing collection and new pre-SIHH watches.

Activities will include The Creative Hub sessions, Master Watchmaking classes, Horology Forums for exchange of ideas on various aspects of watch industry, The Auction Room by Christie’s on providing education about auctions, and several exhibitions.
