Hi all

AD called me today to say they have received the new Bi-metal yachtmaster from the baselworld 2016 releases.

Problem is it is £9300 and I couldn't justify that expense without selling something else.

My only other higher value piece is my blnr which would I would struggle to part with

So was wondering if anyone has the new yachtmaster and what's your thoughts ?

Total dilemma here

Andy

I would pass if I were you. The upgrade is minimal for the additional cost.

So... I'm sensing an overall sense of "no don't do it, what the hell are you thinking man"

I'll be honest I do like it but then is it worth £3000 more than a BLNR? I'm not so sure

I suppose if I'm undecided the better idea is to just stixk

It's a very elegant piece in the metal, but I'd NEVER dump a BLNR for it.

I like the YM in general and find the new ones particularly interesting. However, I really don't think YMs are worth that much money. I own the 116622 platinum dial (scored a 33% discount for a NOS).

Personally in your case I'd stick to the BLNR unless you can get a great deal on a YM.

That YM must look better in the metal--because it looks terrible on the Interwebz. Batman!

Well decision made - turned down the yachtmaster. Staying out with the BLNR for now

I like the look of the yacht-master more.
Maybe I've seen too many blue GMTs in Hong Kong already.
IMHO that half blue/black dial looks gimmicky.
