I picked up this 1970's Montgomery Ward LeGant diver from a thrift store. I really like the red, white and blue dial. The Japanese 17 jewel movement is running great. The original rubber strap is a real bonus. Only needs a good crystal polish. Nothing too special but really cool. Reminds me of the bicentennial.

Nice watch

Can you post a pic of the movement? I wonder if it is a Citizen or Seiko movement in this watch. Is it all stainless steel? I have not found much to write home about in the thrift store this last month.

I am actually not home to open but found the following on the web. I have no reason to believe this is not the same movement that I have.

HAMAZAWA LTD
JAPANESE
17 JEWELED
SEIKO DIASHOCK PROTECTED
MANUAL WIND
MOVEMENT
