I spent a few hours at Time Crafters this afternoon and wanted to share my experience with the WUS community. If you are in NYC I suggest you go, it runs through Sunday and is amazing.

A few things of note from the people I spoke to:
Zenith: I was told Zenith is not stopping production of the Elite movement, they had some Elite powered movements at the event. The plan is to replace some Elite powered watches with Sellita movements to make them more entry-level, and to increase production of the El Primero, which helps their balance sheet. This was widely speculated but was unofficially confirmed.

Tag Heuer: The CH80 movements will hit the boutiques in November. They will be sligthly changed from the originals shown at Basel. They also believe the Monaco will get the CH80 movements next year, but the current Calibre12 models might coexist with the newer Monacos. They no longer have any 1969 models in any boutique, Tag Heuer pulled them right away. 3 models were sold in NYC, so some people have very rare, probably highly collectable 1969 powered Carreras.

And now the pics

But that Lange. Swoon.

And Hublot continues to do absolutely nothing of interest, importance or the like.

Honorable mention: JLC Gyro. Good. Lord.

This is the kind of thread that makes me wish I was wealthy.
It was the type of event that made me wish I made 3x my salary.
