I have two two Timex Easy Reader quartz watches. They’re the larger models. I know they’re inexpensive models but I like them a lot.

My problem with them is the crowns are so small and I have fat fingers, they’re very hard to set. I’d like to change out the crowns to much larger ones. I also like how large crowns look.

I know the crown is threaded to the stem and the stem needs to be removed. The stems on these are fine and are straight. To those in the know, how do I remove the stems and what size large crowns would fit these and where would I acquire them?

Much thanks and I’ve included pictures of the watches.

There's a Timex themed thread in the Affordables forum where someone posted a picture of where you need to press on the movement to release the stem. Try searching there.
