Timex IRONMAN Appreciation Thread

I figure since there is an Expedition Appreciation thread that there should also be an Ironman thread too. I picked this one up the other day on a whim, it is a Timex Ironman T5K198.

I've always liked the layout of those 8-lap watches. Very easy for me to read. Maybe I'll try one out someday.

Wow, that is interesting. Thanks for the info.

I found out asking in another thread that it is actually a Casio CBX 1000 model and the reason I couldn't find anything under Timex for it.

I bought it new back in the day, wore it every day for some years then retired it. Just recently dug it out and put a battery in it.

I have been on a watch buying spree...so this was the last watch I got today. Time to stop purchasing and start enjoying. I had this Timex before and gave it away, I give you the T5K793WF Ironman Triathlon:

100m Water resistant, occasion reminder, stop watch with lap function, timer, three time zones, and three loud alarms getting pushed with a CR2025 battery. The negative display can be a problem for some; however, I feel that it has a certain coolness factor. What's not to like? This one will be my new running watch.

Tae kwon Do class..
Pretty watch
These really do have some nice modules and color schemes don't they?
As soon as I can book your surgery room!
Has anyone tried to hydromod an Ironman before?
There were several versions of that watch....some had the lines and others did not. The digits are disappearing when using the indiglo because the batter needs replaced. Looks to be in nice shape.
If it is new just return it for another one. Batteries run down all the time and there is no way to know how long it sat before it was sold.
I re-bought this one a while back.....probably should wear it.

I'm with Wolfsatz, I like a little color.
Wow, I didn't realize they made so many variants. A watch for all seasons so to speak.
It is always a huge plus when the watch wears comfortably. Great review!
You have a very nice collection Wolfsatz. Which do you like the most?
May I present you:
