After seeing this thread a while back https://www.watchuseek.com/f71/where-find-excellent-timex-military-chrono-476739.html I thought I might like one of these chonographs, but I already had the black faced chrono from Timex that everybody loves (including me!!). So I didn't bother to follow up. Then a buddy of mine bought the other Timex right off my wrist (sort of) so I was in need of a new Timex Chono.

With a little extra cash freed up, (around $100) I ordered up one of these from eBay, (These are rare in the US for some reason) and got it today...if you like big....it's awesome :-d 45mm w/o crown, and about 48mm with crown. I really like this one!! :-!

Specs:
45mm, 48 with crown
13mm thick, 22mm lugs
Stainless steel case,
Cordura strap
Black dial with INDIGLO
Date Window
100m water resistant
30min, 1/20 sec chrono
Slide rule bezel bi-directional
Indiglo night light

Nice one Gary, I like it :-!

I think it might be too big for me though...
I really didn't know how big this was...I just liked the look and ordered it up. (I assumed it would be the same as other Timex chonos)...the size works OK for me because of my umm 'larger' wrists.

Wow That is Stunning. The knurling around the case is a crazy turn on. If you dont mind my asking: what size is your wrist? I wonder what it would look like on my 7" wrist.
I have an 8.25-8.5 inch wrist, but this does wear a bit smaller thna the 45mm would indicate, due to the bezel. The case length is 50mm, so compare that to others you may have. To me it wears similar to a Citizen Nighthawk (43mm but no bezel) and exactly the same as the Skyhawk or Cal 2100 chrono, since both are about the same 45mm size. If these wear too big for you than this one might as well. The newer designs I like seem to be coming in 44-48mm anymore. So I have gotten used to the bigger sizes. My wrist is more round than flat so I can wear big or small and it looks OK.

That's how I know it would be too big for me. The Timex looks good on your wrist, and you are the only one I know who makes a Formex look the right size, on me it was huge :-d

I had tried it on. But it was too big on my 6.5" wrist. Looks good on yours. Nice case.

Timex is really stepping up their game. I have seen some really nice pieces by them that you can't help but want to add to your collection. This watch is nice and looks very solid. Congratulations on the nice pickup. Excellent!!
