Hello everyone,

I'm a lurker, sorry. I like quality watches but have a small budget so I bought a Tisell submersible last year (Feb 2020). I like the watch design and the Miyota movement. I believe it's a Miyota 9015. I don't wear it as much as I should and it's been in a drawer for the last 8 months. Yes, I neglected it and I'm sorry, I was lazy. Anyway, I got it out today and, on being moved, the seconds hand started sweeping; a good sign. But I thought I'd top it up with a manual wind so I wound it about 20 times, set the time and screwed the crown back down. And then, nothing - no movement whatsoever. It's stopped and I don't know what is wrong with it.

Do any of you gurus have any idea what might be wrong with it or any advice as to what could get it going again please?

Thanks for all of your replies. I've tried all your suggestions and unfortunately there's still no movement. It's strange as it feels like everything is engaging and the winding feels like it's working (can hear and feel the clicking), but I'm far from knowledgeable in these things. I think my next step is to purchase a watch kit so that I can remove the back to at least have a look inside. I probably won't poke anything though due to the delicate components. If I can't see anything obvious I might take it to somebody who can have a proper look at the internals.
