Hi All,
I bought this Tissot Le Comte because I liked its looks and the fact that it's a cylinder movement. However!

Although it has a 'tissot' in the name, I don't think that it is? Does anyone know who made this movement?

That's a lepine IV style movement which was popular around 1835-1870 so it's from the very beginnings of Tissot's history (they were founded in 1853).....

Does it matter that the name is "U Tissot & C Srs De Le Comte" rather than the usual "C.H.F. Tissot & Fils Locle"?
