Found this blog posting on a concept I kinda like; a DIY multi style watch concept. Well, it's just changing out straps and what not but I like the idea.

Tokyobay DIY Watch Set
There's little more rewarding than building something yourself, whether it's a LEGO set or elaborate adult treehouse. So why not watches? The Tokyobay DIY Watch Set ($210) comes with two mid-sized watch faces, one beige, one black, nine watch tools in a zippered case, four straps, a backup battery, and slug pins — everything you need to build your own timepiece. Just don't use the tools to go ripping apart your buddy's Rolex, as you might not be able to put it back together.

Yeah I agree, and it would be a lot more fun too.

Nice straps, nice toolcase, some nice tools. The watches are just extras to me, so the total price doesn't add up.

But on the same site I saw these, which I thought were cool...

Yeah those look cool. I rather like the LED quartz one but I guess it is not always illuminated like that. I wonder how wood stands up? I imagine it would get rather stinky in hot sweaty weather.
