We first introduced you to Torgoen Watches and their lineup of aviation-inspired pilot watches with a look at their limited-edition T42 Swiss Automatic and the T25 Meteorite . Today, we're focusing on three models from the Torgoen Classic Aviation collection , the backbone of the brand's lineup and one that epitomizes the company's design ethos.

But first, a quick recap: Torgoen Watches has been producing timepieces inspired by vintage cockpit instruments since the company's emergence in 2010, and over the past ten years, has accumulated a loyal following of adventure-seeking aviation fanatics. It's no wonder, considering the brand is the brainchild of a collection of pilot watch enthusiasts made up of pilots and watch manufacturers alike. Their timepieces are built upon three core principles: quality, design and affordability, with all watches priced under the $500 mark. And you can see all three at work in the Torgoen Classic Aviation collection, led by the T9, T25 and T16.

(Plus, for a limited time, all three will be available as part of Torgoen's special Father's Day promotion , good for savings of up to 50% off through June 22nd. So if your dad is aviation-mad, be sure to take advantage.)

The T9's design is inspired by the avionics in cockpits, seen here in the application of non-radioactive luminescence, which ensures dial visibility in complete darkness for up to 8 whole hours. The 42mm case, meanwhile, is constructed out of high-grade solid stainless steel and teamed with a screw-down stainless steel curved back, allowing the watch to withstand 10 ATM (100 meters) of pressure under water.

Within beats a Swiss GMT movement manufactured by Ronda, which allows the wearer to set the GMT hand to a different time zone - perfect for frequent flyers. The T9 is available is various dial colors, from matte blue to cream to black with the option of either a protective mineral crystal or sapphire crystal, for a total of 14 different variations. The range of color combinations extends to the vintage Italian leather strap and stainless steel bracelet options as well, making the T9 extremely customizable.

Prices range from $189 - $220 USD.

Heavily inspired by the Sextant, as well as other 17th Century navigational instruments used by the famous clockmaker John Harrison, the T25 line is a dual-zone timepiece. That means it incorporates two independent time zones, one of which is represented by an additional hand that makes one revolution every 24 (rather than 12) hours - hence the 24-hour military format displayed on the outer dial. The purpose behind this unique design? To allow for easy communication between pilots and ATC (Air Traffic Control), where time is normally communicated in GMT in order to have a common language across planes arriving from different time zones. (It also makes it a great Father's Day gift if you and your dad currently live on opposite ends of the country.)

The T25 comes encased in 316L stainless steel and is available is two different case sizes: 41mm and 44mm. Like all Torgoen watches, the dial is easy to read, thanks to luminescent markers, numbers and hands. Color options include the standard matte blue and cream, plus meteorite gray, and comes teamed with an Italian genuine leather vintage-worn strap.

Prices range from $320 - $345 USD.

The T16 was created in memory of R.J. Mitchell, designer of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire Fighter aircraft - and the resulting timepiece is simple, straightforward and timeless, true to Mitchell's spirit. Once again, the dial is designed for legibility, thanks to large luminescent numbers and markers worthy of a true pilot watch. Here though, the specific design touches draw inspiration from altimeters, like those found in an airplane cockpit.

The T16 also features a sophisticated Swiss Quartz chronograph movement from Ronda (5030.D), which can measure time between two events with a resolution of 1/10 of a second and up to 30 minutes. Like the T25, the T16 case is 316L stainless steel and comes in two sizes: 41mm or 44mm. A double "O" ring crown, meanwhile, provides water resistance for up to 10 ATM, or 100 meters. Available with a mineral crystal or sapphire crystal option, as well as in a "Night Pro Style," the timepiece is paired with an elegant Italian vintage leather strap, and comes in three color options for the dial: blue, black and cream.

Prices range from $450 - $490 USD.
