Having owned both models, I prefer the 2531.80's dial.

I have a 2531.80 and wholeheartedly recommend it. That said, the slightly longer hands of the 2220.80 are an improvement.

Or, 2220 simply is what 2531 should be since the beginning;)



Congrats, those with 2500D are rare birds.
Interestingly I was not knowledgeable enough at the time to know the diff. Just got lucky with the 2500D at a good price.

I prefer the quartz variants

why?

Omega discontinued them. They make a great modern historic addition to a collection.

To me, the 2220.80 is significantly better looking (more expensive looking as well) in person due to the aforementioned upgrades.........but..... the prices on them have risen to absurd levels over the past year. 2531.80 is a tremendous bargain in comparison.
