I have a No Date and love it. Very clean easy to read and more accurate to the original.
Great idea, but you aren’t almost 79 years old!! I rely on the date function many times a day. I agree 100% aesthetically the date window is obtrusive. Probably the least obtrusive is the date @ 4-5, date wheel the same color as the dial and thin white numbers. Not perfect, but it doesn’t jump out at you like a [email protected]As many of you know, I consider a Date window to be the SINGLE ultimate way to ruin an otherwise beautiful dive watch dial face - PERIOD! First off, as a diver, I can't remember a SINGLE incident when I needed to know the date while I was 110' feet down. I have a simple "trick" that I've used since I was a teenager to remember the date. Every morning when I wake up I say out loud: "Today is (fill in the M-S day, month, and date)..." Saying it out loud allows you to THINK it, then SAY it, and then HEAR it, the result being FAR better than a Date window which you absent mindedly glance at ~152 times/day and then summarily FORGET. Try it - you'll like it!
I don't care if you're 179 years old - try my method and see if it doesn't work for you; I'll bet you a cookie it does!Great idea, but you aren’t almost 79 years old!!
